Salon Eleven Soiree

Salon Eleven in Downtown L.A. is owned and operated by Jared Jackson Dean (remember the name). Recently, I had the opportunity to visit the salon, where celebrities have been known to make appointments and the stylists are as sharp as their shears!

It was an evening event for bloggers, in collaboration with Elle Magazine and Wella Hair Products.

During the soiree, we were offered drinks and Hors d’oeuvres, free Wella samples, a diverse crowd to mingle with and the chance to get a free hairdo or manicure.
I went for the ‘do and enjoyed every minute of getting my hair teased!

I also had a great conversation with Mr. Dean, who has big plans and even bigger dreams for his brand. His motivation matters to me. A lot.

It matters because surrounding yourself with positive people is very empowering and necessary but also because back in March, Jared Jackson Dean hired a very special stylist to be part of his dream team…my baby sister Frances Marquez, aka “Frenchee.”

Frenchee is a world class cosmetologist who is just as fabulous as the clients she serves.

She was my stylist at this event and getting an extra bit of volume from her little talented hands made me feel so proud!! She is doing big things and I was glad to meet the rest of her ridiculously cute co-workers that are sharing in the adventures of working for this unique salon...Thanks dream team, for all the good fun!

On a back-to-business note, the Wella Brilliance Treatment is unbelievable… Amazing for fine to normal colored hair (like mine). You apply it after shampooing and once you’ve left it in your hair for a few minutes, you rinse and continue with the conditioning. Retail price for the Wella Brilliance Treatment is approximately $25.00 and it comes in a neat, red plastic jar, which means you scoop the product out with your fingers! (fun).
