First Time Meeting Santa Claus

"Benny, that's Santa Claus..say hi..." 

My son Benjamin has never been a crybaby.

But when he met Santa for the first time, he wept.

I took him to the local mall so he could take the classic picture on Santa’s lap one recent evening.

First, I let him hang out near the photo display and we even waived at Santa Claus from a distance. Then I finally decided to walk him up and sit him on Santa’s lap. 

Bad idea. 

I’ll let the picture speak for itself. 

Fortunately, as soon as the picture was shot, I picked him up and Benny was immediately back to being happy.

This particular Santa has been in the business since 1996, he said.

Did you know being a certified Santa Claus is no easy task? Think about it. Santa Claus is one of the most influential characters to children in their early years.

Luckily for us as parents, when we go to a mall or a prestigious event, we can rest assured that the Santa on site is a ‘real’ Santa, one who possibly attended the International University of Santa Claus (yes, there is such a thing). Website here: http://www.realsantas.com/iusc.htm

Moments after meeting Santa/ Momentos despues de haber conocido a Santa

Mi hijo Benjamín nunca a sido un niño llorón, pero cuando lo llevé a conocer a Santa, aventó el grito y comenzó a chillar.

Hace unos días fuimos a un centro comercial cerca de la casa para que se retratara con Santa.

Primero lo dejé explorar el área cerca del personaje y hasta saludamos a Santa de lejecitos. Finalmente lo llevé y lo senté en las piernas del señor de la barba blanca.

¡Ay pero que mala movida!

Dejaré que la foto hable por sí misma.

Afortunadamente, en cuanto se le tomó la foto, lo recogí y el niño feliz, cómo si nada.

Este Santa Claus me comentó que se ha dedicado a su personaje desde 1996.

¿Sabían ustedes que el oficio de Santa Claus no es nada fácil? En serio. 

Santa Claus es uno de los personajes de mayor influencia en las vidas de los pequeños en este país.
