I have two younger sisters and the middle sister, Irene Marquez, is getting married tomorrow.
Her wedding promises to deliver on simplicity and elegance with very subtle decorations that carry a bold message: We're celebrating our Mexican Heritage.
And to encompass the idea of a Mexican wedding, we start working on details and preparations as a familia throughout the last days before the big day...It's called
But we enjoy the big mess, the running around, the stress and tears because it's the little things that make us so united (love).
Last night, the men carefully cut favor tags...
The women took care of filling the tequila bottle favors (and had a few sips, whenever we felt it appropriate).
Benny got his second haircut...a big struggle he gave Auntie Frenchee and well, I'll let the pictures tell the story.

dos hermanas menores y la del medio, Irene Márquez, se casa mañana.
Su boda
promete exponer elegancia con la simplicidad de adornos y decoraciones tenues y
sutiles pero que llevaran un mensaje audaz: Estamos celebrando nuestra herencia
mexicana.
Y para
abarcar la idea de una boda mexicana, comenzamos a trabajar en los detalles y
preparativos durante las ultimas tres noches ... ¿Por qué será que siempre
andamos a las carreras? ¿A caso seremos
mexicanos?? (jijiji).

fin, nos gusta andar “a la corre y corre” y a pesar del estrés y las lágrimas, éstas
son las pequeñas cosas que hacen a nuestra familia tan unida.
Ayer
por la noche, por ejemplo, estaban los hombres cortando cuidadosamente las
etiquetas de los recuerditos...
Las
mujeres se encargaron de llenar las botellitas de tequila (y les dimos unos
cuantos sorbos, cada vez que la conversación lo ameritaba).
Benny tuvo
su segundo corte de pelo ...y qué gran lucha le dio a la tía Frenchee!!
Pero por
lo pronto dejaré que las imágenes cuenten la historia.
